Going from social isolation directly into full-time employment is not easy.
That is why at Samugaku, we focus on the steps in between.
One day, the step might be coming to Samugaku.
Another day, it might be working in a rice field with others.
Later, it could mean learning to use a tool, helping clean a property, working in an apple orchard, maintaining a vineyard, or experiencing construction-related work.
Each activity is different, but the purpose is connected.
Students are learning how to show up, communicate, work safely, complete tasks, cooperate with others, and take responsibility.
These experiences gradually connect learning with the real world of work.
Our goal is not to force young people into employment as quickly as possible. It is to help them develop the confidence, skills, and readiness necessary to take sustainable steps forward.
