Today is a great day.
We all come to school earlier than usual because we would like to do farming in the morning. The weather is quite toasty. Yet, I can hear students chatter and with a good mood.
今日は素晴らしい日です。 午前中に農作業をするために私達は皆んないつもより早く学校に集まりました。天気は非常に暑いけど、生徒たちの楽しそうなお喋りが聞こえてきます。
Mornings are usually hard for Hikikomori. However, this morning brings a good mood for all of us. Outdoor activities give a little more sense of freedom and atmosphere. Yesterday was a hard day for certain students. However, I see those students showed up and are joining the school activities. Resilient are the students! I am proud of them indeed.
朝というのは引きこもりの生徒にとっては、たいてい辛い 時間帯ですが、今日の朝は彼らを含めて私達全員に素敵な気分を運んでくれます。屋外での活動はちょっぴり自由な気 分を感じさせてくれるのです。昨日は幾人の生徒にとっては 厳しい日でしたが、彼らも姿をみせて学校の活動に参加してくれています。逞しい生徒達!彼らのことを本当に誇りに 思います。
Today is a premium Friday which allows students and staff a half day off. A big Yay for a half day off for all of us. 今日は特別な金曜日で生徒とスタッフは午後から休みを頂きます。
Allow me to share what I did today:
1. I corresponded with our supporters via emails regarding funds for school program. I am reminded that our school is so blessed and so loved and so cared by many. All the cares are tangible and all the love are of actions. With the help of many, we are reaching out hundreds of young people and more. Seeing hikikomori reintegrate into society has been and has and will always have mesmerized me and filled my heart with pure joy.
今日私がしたことを紹介させてください。 1、私たちのサポーター達と学校の教育プログラムに対する 基金についてメールでやりとりをしました。私は、私たち の学校がいかに多くの人に祝福され、愛され、そして気遣 われているかを改めて気付きました。全ての気遣いが目に 見えるものになり、全ての愛が具体的な行動となって現れ ます。多くの人に支えられ、私達サムガクが関わってきた生 徒の数は数百人、いやそれ以上になろうとしています。引 きこもりの生徒達が立ち上がろうとし、そして再び社会に 参加していく過程を見ることは、私にこの上ない感動をも たらし、私の心を純粋な愛で一杯にしてくれます。
2. I got to make a few phone calls to apologize to some of the supporters. Our students are working hard. With programs and activities, we help them grow mentally and intellectually. Yet, students were with sudden fear and anxiety even when they are dispatched to work as a temp. In my case, I go between students and employers as needed. Life is so beautiful when we work together. We become stronger and wiser when we work in one accord.
2、幾人かのサポーターにお詫びの電話入れました。私達の生徒は本当に一生懸命に働いています。そして私達スタッフ は教育プログラムと具体的な行動によって、彼らが精神的 にも知的にも成長することを支援しています。しかしなが ら、彼らは派遣社員として働いているときでも、突然不安や恐怖に襲われるのです。私の場合、必要に応じて生徒と 雇用主の間に入ります。私たちが共に働くとき人生は美し く光り輝きます。そして一体となって働くことができたとき 私達は今よりももっと強く賢くなれるのです。
3. And I have a few counselling sessions with some students. Students are somehow super sensitive. Yet, they are exceedingly kind. Each student wants to make positive changes in their lives. They are learning responsibilities and how to take them. They get hurt so much because they are truly kind to others. Whenever I am with students for counseling sessions, I am convinced that mankind is generally good. I am so hopeful. Of course, there are times I am misunderstood and my voices are un-listened by the students. At the end, mutual understanding takes place and a decent conversation are being carried out.
3、そして、私は数人の生徒と少しカウンセリングの時間を 持ちました。生徒達はどういうわけか非常に敏感なので す。でも極めて親切です。それぞれの生徒は、良い方向へ変 わりたいと願っています。かれらは責任ということについて 学び、そして責任の取り方について学んでいます。彼らはあ まりにも親切であるが故に非常に傷つきやすいのです。私 はカウンセリングをするとき、人間というものは一般的に 善良なんだということに確信を持ちます。私は生徒の未来 に希望を持っています。もちろん時には誤った理解をしてし まい、私の声は生徒に届かない事もありますが、最後には お互いに理解が進み、よい会話をする事ができるのです。
4. I went to two of employers to say thank you for allowing my students work and have a fine work environment with one of my colleagues. We are so overwhelmed by the understanding and wisdom they have and showed for our students. We learned so much from them. With the help of Emi and Kiyotaka, two of our students are working with confidence and many more students are given the opportunities to work at convenience store, ramen shop and solar panel shaded farms. We are beyond grateful.
4、私は同僚と一緒に、二人の雇い主を訪問して生徒を雇い良い職場環境を提供してくれた御礼を述べまし た。私達は彼らが生徒のために示してくれた理解と知恵に 圧倒されました。彼らから多くのことを学んだのです。エ ミさんとキヨタカさんの助けを借りて、二人の生徒は自信を持って 働いており、多くの生徒がコンビニエンスストアやラーメン 店、ソーラーパネルの農業で働く機会を頂きました。感謝 に絶えません。
5. I had talked with two mothers: one worries about her son a lot and she was crying over the phone; another one was so happy because she became a grandmother. Mothers have happy and sad tears. I do believe that all tears are LOVE and of love. Mother’s love has been a source of my working energy. Life runs with and in and through LOVE.
Life is not easy but worth trying and loving.
5、二人のお母さんとお話ししました。お一人は彼の息子の 事を大変心配されており、電話の向こう側で泣いておられ ました。もう一人は、おばあちゃんになった事を大変喜ん でおられました。母親は喜びと悲しみの涙を流します。そ れ全ての涙が深い愛から来ている事を私は信じています。 この母の愛が私が働くことのエネルギーとなっています。 人生は愛と共に、そして愛の中で流れていきます。
人生は簡単ではありませんが、挑戦し、そして愛する価値 があるものだと思います。
