Our students and including staff (including myself) do not know how to use Excel well. While Word is often used for reports or other types of documents and people can understand roughly how to use it at a basic level, Excel has so many functions that it can often be very opaque. However, it’s a very useful skill when looking for a job or even doing a job not specifically related as it can make it easier to automate various tasks.
I try to use and am using Excel for name lists and ‘subjects and those categories’
Today, we started from the basics. Selecting boxes, typing, formatting boxes, copy pasting, templates that come with some basic calculations out of the box, and so on. For those who are very unfamiliar with Excel, even these tasks may take some time and practice to get used to. However, they can learn some important skills that will help them in the future.
