Many young people these days grew up with smartphones rather than PCs, which can be very contained and user-friendly. Some basic functions such as writing an Email with complex formatting or moving files between different folders and staying organized can be unfamiliar to them. Many of these skills are required for basic office work at companies no matter the job.
If students can master basic computer skills, they can move on to simple WordPress skills. So, we also learned some basic functions for WordPress. Creating posts, formatting with bold, italics, and headings, adding tags and categories, some basic SEO and so on. As more and more companies update their websites to use WordPress, these skills would be useful especially for people working in offices.
We will have to practice these skills more and more until they become ingrained and natural.
