生徒達に会い、スタッフみんなとチームとして一緒に働くことは私にとってこの上なく幸せなことです。夏休みだったので生徒たちはほぼ一か月間家に帰っていました。私に関して言えば、長い休みの後で今日やっと生徒みんなに会うことができました。彼らに会ってどんな風に夏休みを過ごしたかを聞くことは私の心を幸福感で満たしてくれます。
Meeting students and working together with all the staffs as a team is a great happiness for me. Due to Summer Vacation, students went home nearly for a month. As for me, today I could meet all the students after a long vacation. Seeing them and hearing how they had spent their vacation makes my heart overwhelmed with happiness as well.
今朝、生徒たちは3つの班に分かれて与えられたことをよくこなしていました。彼らがサムガクで成長し新しいことを学んでいるのを見ることで私は彼らが大丈夫になっていることを確信します。サムガクは生徒達の為だけでなく親御さんたちの為にも存在しているのです。
This morning, students got into three groups and well performed the given tasks. Seeing them grow and learn new things in samugaku convinces me that they are going to be alright. Samugaku is not only for students but also for parents.
サムガクとスタッフの支援を通じて生徒たちは自分自身を知ることを学び、社会でで仕事をするための準備を学んでいます。一日一日、そう、私はあえて言いますが、サムガク、スタッフ、そして学園活動を通して生徒たちは経験を積み、自信を得ています。
Through samugaku and the helps of staffs, students learn to know themselves and learn to prepare for the jobs in society. Each day, I dare to say that students gain experiences and confidence through samugaku, staffs and the activities of the school.
チョイスタでは生徒たちは一個を選ぶように次のことを与えられています：手芸、薪割り、草取り。生徒たちにとっては選択を決めることがとても難しいのでこのチョイスタの時間は選択する機会を与えています。
At choice study, students are given to choose one of the tasks: sewing, wood-chopping or weeding. This choice study hour gives the opportunity to make choices as it is so hard for students to make choices.

Life isn’t easy. If we don’t take care of our heart, we are going to be in trouble. We feed ourselves three meals a day. What about our head and heart? We are to fill our heart with kindness and learn things from others. We are to fill our head with knowledge and information. we all are different and given different talents.
違ったタイプの人とうまくやっていくこと、違うことと生きていくことは易しいことではないでしょう。私たちはより広い気持ち／余裕を心の中に持つ必要があります。もし私たちが心に余裕を持てば、1つ、またはもっと多くのアプローチや見方で物事を見たり理解したりできます。
To live with differences and to get along with different type of people will not be easy. We need to have broader-minded/ rooms in our heart. If we have rooms in our hearts, we can see things and understand things with one or more approaches or views.

午後はタッキーさんが来て仕事とその時間、賃金、有給休暇について教えてくれました。時給は時間(早朝、日中、夜)によって様々です。彼の授業は労働とその利益について生徒達の興味を引きました。
In the afternoon, Mr. … came and taught us about works/ jobs, and its working hours and its wages and paid holidays and unpaid holidays. Hourly wage is varied depending on the time (early morning, day time or evening). His lesson arouses students regarding works and its benefits.

At one point, he talked about the importance of the contract between the employer and the employees. There is a tendency that we fail to look through the contract or to keep it.
