みなさんこんにちは！ 今日は茶々がブログを書いています。
First of all, I would like to express a massive thanks to parents who trust our works in a tangible way. With your trust, we could work with the students without any hesitation. まずはじめに、私たちをとても信頼してくださっている保護者の皆様に感謝を述べたいと思います。皆様が信頼してくださっているからこそ、私たちも思い切って生徒たちと関わり働くことができています。
Like temperature, some of us are feeling blue. Certain students lose confidence in the ability. Certain students get no rooms to say anything at all even greetings. Yet, no one is left alone here in samugaku. Everyone gets someone next to them. 気温のように、落ち込んでいる人もいます。何人かの生徒たちは自分の能力に対する自信をなくしてしまっています。挨拶をする余裕も失くしてしまっている生徒もいます。けれど、サムガクでは誰も一人ぼっちではありません。誰もが誰かの隣にいるのです。
I do love samugaku. Staff carry big hearts to meet students’ struggles accordingly. Of course, emotions and feelings vastly control the students more or less. With the help of school and staff, students learn to control their feelings and emotions. 私は本当にサムガクが大好きです。生徒が抱える苦しみに見合う大きな心をスタッフが持っています。もちろん、感情が生徒の心を大いに支配してしまうこともあります。けれどサムガクやスタッフの支援のもと、生徒は感情を逆に制御できるようになります
Staff work closely with parents and would like to work with parents closely in order to understand the students and their struggles. This morning too, staffs are being with students especially those who need hands, and listen to their struggles. Students find comfort and have more options as they are with staff. As students talk to staff, their burden are being unloaded or being lighter. I witness that life is beautiful here in Samugaku. 生徒が抱える苦しみや生徒自身を理解するため、スタッフは保護者の方々と密に関わりながら仕事をしていますし、していきたいと思っています。今朝もスタッフは助けを必要としている生徒に寄り添い、その悩みに耳を傾けていました。スタッフと一緒にいることで、生徒は心が休まり、より多くの選択肢に気づきます。スタッフに打ち明けることで、生徒は背負った重荷を少し降ろし、苦しみを軽くすることができます。人生は美しいということを、ここサムガクで私は目にしています
Here, I would like to express massive thanks to all the supporters and sponsors and people who constantly help the school with advice, being present, finance, knowledge and needed things. Without these supports, I don’t think we can come this far. ここで、日頃から学園を支援してくださる支援者の皆様、スポンサーの方々に感謝を表したいと思います。金銭面や、物資面のみならず、助言や知識、またサムガクと共にあるというような様々な支援をしてくださっています。皆様の支援なしでは、私たちはこれまでやってこれなかったでしょう。
Our director Mr. Nagaoka fearlessly chooses to maintain his calling that everyone deserves to be happy and every family deserves to be happy. Director Mr. Nagaokoa tirelessly works hard to run the school and to look after all the staff in order to pave the path toward happiness. Our Director has played and been playing a big part of staff and students’ lives. His unchangeable passion and unshakable determination have been giving hopes to many. 理事長である長岡は、すべての人が幸せになる価値があり、すべての家族が幸せになる価値がある、という使命を抱き続ける、という勇気ある決断を行ってきています。長岡理事長は幸せへの道を作るために、学園を運営したりスタッフのケアをしたりと骨を粉にして働いています。理事長はスタッフや生徒の人生において大きな役割を果たしてきましたし、今も果たしています。理事長の不変の情熱と確固たる決意がたくさんの人にとっての希望となってきました。
In the morning, students are working on their play on Feb 8. Students are given opportunity to expose themselves to many people. Dancing and dancing in a group is, in many ways, so impossible for almost every student. Yet, students find pleasure and achievement in a play. As for me, I feel beyond description when I hear the voices of student in a play. My heart is overwhelmed at the voices of students. Life indeed is full of unexpected surprises. This Feb 8, come and see us play and Hirakata sensei will be joining a TALK SHOW. 今朝、生徒たちは二月八日に発表する舞台の練習をしていました。たくさんの人々の前で自分を表現する機会が生徒には与えられています。単に踊るだけでなく、集団として踊ることは、ほとんどの生徒にとっては到底難しいものに思えました。けれど生徒たちは舞台の中で喜びや達成感を見出すようになっています。私も、生徒たちの劇中での声を聞いたときは、言葉にならぬ感動を覚えました。その声に圧倒されたのです。人生は本当に予測できない驚きに満ちています。明日二月八日は、生徒たちの舞台、そしてトークショーに参加する平形先生を見に上田映劇に是非お越しください。
In the afternoon, we went to Horiuchi’s farm. Students get to play with roosters and goats and pony there in the farm along with helping the farm and separating beans. Students get to work together in a group on the farm. As today is the last farm day at Horiuchi’s farm, farmers gave a word of farewell and we expressed thanks for providing the activities for students. 午後は、堀内農園に行きました。生徒は農園でニワトリやヤギ、ポニーと戯れながらも作業を手伝い、豆こなしも行いました。農園でも生徒たちはグループで動き働けるようになっています。今日が最後の堀内農園の日で、堀内さんから別れの言葉をいただき、私たちも生徒に学びの活動の機会を与えてくださっていることに感謝の気持ちを伝えました。
Here l would like to conclude with stories of two students here: ここで二人の生徒の話で締めくくらせてください。
Student 1: Each student is being trained for a three day at curry shop every week. Our Director launched 346 Curry shop as a stepping stone for students in order to re-enter society. This Student 1 thought that he couldn’t make it after one day having trained. His tears couldn’t be held. His emotions couldn’t be contained. Yet, he decided to go for a second day. After second day too, it was quite tough for him to continue. Again, here he made another tough decision. He completed a three day training. He himself couldn’t believe that he could make it. We all staff rejoiced with him. 生徒１：生徒はそれぞれ週に三日カレーショップで職業訓練をしています。というのも理事長が生徒の社会復帰への踏み台になるようにと346カレーショップを開店したのです。一日目の訓練のあと、うまくやれなかったと生徒１は思いました。涙を抑えることができず、感情も制御できませんでした。けれど、その生徒は二日目も訓練に行くという決断を下しました。二日目が終わった後も、続けていくのは到底無理だと思うくらいでした。けれど、その生徒は辛い中もう一度大きな決断を下します。そして三日間の訓練をやり遂げたのです。その生徒自身ですらできると思ってませんでした。スタッフみんなで喜び、その生徒をお祝いしました。
Student 2: the things he couldn’t do before he came to Samugaku, followings are said by him:
- I could have the routine of my daily life.
- I could reduce the numbers of cigarettes.
- I could talk what I want to talk to people these days.
- I could call my family regularly and talk anything.
- I could make choices on my words, however I had used bad/hurtful words before I came to samugaku.
生徒２：サムガクに来る前には出来なかったけれど、今は出来ていることがこんなにあるとある生徒は言ってくれました。
- 規則正しい生活が送れています。
- タバコの量を減らすことが出来ました。
- 最近は自分が話したい時に人と話す事が出来ます。
- 定期的に家族に電話をして話をする事が出来ています。
- サムガクに来る前は悪い言葉や人を傷つける言葉を選んでいたけれど、今は言葉を選ぶ事が出来ています。
