Every TODAY brings new challenges and perspectives towards others and things including to oneself. Every TODAY brings me wisdom and insight (satori) to understand students and see their capacity. LOVE my every TODAY indeed. I am so sure that you (blog readers) are learning and growing every TODAY like me as well.
繰り返す「今日」にはいつも新しいチャレンジがあり、その中で他人や物事、そして自分自身に対する新しい考え方が見つかります。さらにそんな「今日」の中で、私は、生徒を理解し彼らの能力を見つけるための知恵、一種の悟りを身につけていきます。そんないつもの「毎日」を私は本当に愛しています。そしてこのブログを読んでいる皆様もきっと私と同じように、繰り返す「今日」の中で成長し色々なことを学んでいることでしょう。
Even students are reserved and shy more or less, they can laugh and enjoy every little task. Morning workout (muscle training) is of a series of hard training. Yet, students’ laugher and screaming fill the hall. I enjoy taking pictures of each event.
生徒たちは程度の差こそあれ、みな人見知りで物静かですが、些細なことも全部笑いながら楽しむことができます。例えば朝の筋トレはきついトレーニングの連続ですが、生徒たちの笑い声や叫び声がホールにこだましています。私はそんなそれぞれの出来事を写真に撮るのが楽しんでいます。
We weeded this morning. Weeding with a bunch of students was FUN. Students can talk and laugh even weeding itself is not really interesting. Students are learning how to be with other people and to work in a group.
今朝私たちは雑草取りをしました。生徒たちと一緒に草取りをするのは楽しいものでした。あまり面白いとは言えない草取りをしながらでも、生徒たちは楽しそうに笑っておしゃべりをすることが出来ます。生徒たちはどのように他人と接し、グループで動くかということを学んでいます。

Quiet, shy and passive students learn to greet and speak out what they want to do. It is incredible to hear their voices and see their unique beings.
物静かで恥ずかしがりで受け身な生徒たちがあいさつをし、自分のしたいことを口に出すことができるようになっています。そんな生徒たちの声を聞き、それぞれの個性を感じることができるのは本当に素晴らしいことです。
Indifferent and insensitive students learn to make appointments for counseling sessions and open up their views and feelings.
無関心であったりぼーっとしているような生徒が面談の予約をするようになり、自分の考えや感じたことを打ち明けてくれるようになっています。
Today lunch hours, I was touched by the scene: students were able to chat and smile while having meals. No one was left alone.
今日の昼食の時間では、生徒たちは昼食をとりながら笑顔でおしゃべりすることが出来ていました。なんと誰一人独りぼっちになることなく。私はその光景に思わず感動しました。
These morning hours, students put their heads together and tried to gather idea for the School Festival. To my surprise, students were thinking seriously and came up with tons of idea for the school festival even from the quiet and preserved students. Here in Samugaku, students find themselves and learn to speak out their heart. So colorful of students’ personality! I enjoy learning about students and their beings.
午前中、生徒たちは知恵を持ち寄って学園祭のアイデアを集めようとしていました。驚くことに、生徒たちはとても真剣に考え、物静かであまり発言しない生徒も含めてたくさんのアイデアを出し合っていました。ここサムガクでは、生徒たちは自分自身に見つけ、その胸の内を口に出すようになります。生徒の個性はなんてカラフルなんでしょうか。生徒たちを、そして彼らの生き方を知ることが私は楽しいです。
Afternoon, Hirakata sensei talked about families. She detailed her family and its root. Her father and mother were born of different locations and lived apart when they were singles. She told every detail about her father and mother and how they two met. The details got all our attention and those are of miracles. She was the first born in her family. To be born and raised is profoundly deep and taught us how we are wonderfully made.
午後は、平形先生が家族について話をしてくれました。彼女は自身の家族、そしてそのルーツについて詳しく説明してくれました。彼女の父親と母親は結婚する前、違う場所で別々に暮らしていました。そしてどのように二人が出会ったかを平形先生は細かく教えてくれました。その出会いは奇跡と言っていいようなもので、みんな興味津々でした。そして二人の間に初めに生まれたのが平形先生でした。人が生まれ、そして育っていくことは本当にはかりしれないくらい神秘的なもので、私たちは素晴らしく作られたのだと教えられます。
Her life is made of tons of thrilling stories in her family and in her life. Some of the events occurred in her life were mesmerized us such as her inability to understand: 1. others’ opinions and talking and 2. Instructions of parents and others. She was being bullied when she was young. Her younger brother was being ignored when he was young. She couldn’t be helpful for him at all.
平形先生の人生には家族や自身にまつわるぞっとするような話がたくさんあります。彼女の人生に起こった、いくつかの出来事（１. 他人の意見や話していることがうまく理解できないこと、２. 親や他人の教えがうまく理解できないこと）は私たちを大いに惹きつけました。若い頃、彼女はいじめられていて、弟は無視されていました。彼女はそんな弟を少しも助けられなかったといいます。
The reasons she is here in Samugaku and reaching out all the unreachable students are because of her inability to help the family and siblings, her failures in the past and her regrets. She spoke us out of her heart.
平形先生がここサムガクにいて、助けの手が届かない状況に置かれた生徒たちに手を伸ばそうとする理由は、かつて家族や兄弟を助けられなかったこと、過去の失敗と後悔だったのです。平形先生は心の内を明かしてくれました。
Though she told us a part of her family background, I can feel that her family is made of LOVE and understanding. Hirakata family meet twice or thrice a year and care one another tangibly. Her parents send food parcels to Hirakata sensei on a regular basis. Her family love enables Hirakata sensei to love students massively and help the students to a large degree.
平形先生は家庭背景の一部を話してくれましたが、私は彼女の家族が愛と理解で出来ていると感じることが出来ます。彼女と家族は年に２、３度会い、互いにはっきりと気にかけ合っています。ご両親は定期的に食べ物を平形先生に送ってくれるそうです。そんな家族からの愛があるからこそ平形先生は生徒を思いっきり愛し、深く支援できるのです。
I do believe that her stories of the past and of her family will reach the hearts of the students. Each family is unique and made of lots of happiness and struggles. She taught us life itself is profound and precious. Family background and family trees are worth thinking for us to recognize how we individuals are made and raised wonderfully.
私は平形先生の家族や過去に関する話が生徒の心に届くことを信じています。どの家族もそれぞれ唯一のもので、多くの幸福と困難で出来ています。人生はとても深くかけがえのないものだと平形先生は私たちに教えてくれました。家族の生い立ちや家系は、私たちがどれほど素晴らしく作られ、大切に育て上げられてきたかを知るためには深く考える価値のあるものです。
