One important step in helping NEETs gain employment is helping them gain tangible proof of their experience. While some students may do this through having part time work, they can put on their resume, certifications for various skills are also greatly needed. ニートの就職を支援する重要なステップのひとつは、自分の経験を目に見える形で証明できるようにすることである。履歴書に書けるようなアルバイトをすることでこれを実現する学生もいるかもしれないが、様々な技能の資格も大いに必要である。However, many NEETs are the type who struggled with things like tests while in school, and it may be very difficult for them to prepare for and pass a certification test. Even though it’s difficult, this experience, too, is important. しかし、ニートは学生時代にテストなどで苦労したタイプが多く、資格試験の対策や合格は非常に難しいかもしれない。難しくても、この経験も大切だ。Each test has various requirements, and students have to be able to demonstrate their skills on the test day, regardless of their particular feeling. For many of our clients, this can be very difficult, as their emotional state can greatly impact their ability to successfully show their skills. Depending how often the test is offered and how much retraining they will have to do, it may take them two or more years to gain these certifications. They may feel discouraged. They may temporarily quit. But through it all, the act of trying to get the certification is important. Many of the students are people who have had the experience of failing at something and choosing to quit – because when they were young, there was often only one chance to do something. Being in front of a computer and answering questions may strongly remind them of bad experiences in school. However, if they can gain these certifications, it will be easier to acquire jobs in the future. コンピュータの分野では、多くの資格試験はかなり基本的なものに思えるが、試験問題に答えなければならないという不安やストレスは、学生にとってはつらいものだ。コンピュータの前で質問に答えることは、学生時代の嫌な経験を強く思い出させるかもしれない。しかし、これらの資格を取得することができれば、将来仕事を得ることが容易になる。We want to help students have more opportunities to demonstrate their skills through things like certification tests or other projects where they must complete something to an appropriate level. Even in failure, the experience lets them learn to overcome and try again with more effort and attention. Through the support of the staff, students can feel like they will surely succeed one day. 資格試験や、適切なレベルで何かを完成させなければならないプロジェクトなどを通じて、生徒が自分のスキルを証明する機会を増やせるようにしたい。失敗しても、それを乗り越え、また努力し、注意することを学ぶ。スタッフのサポートによって、生徒たちは「いつか必ず成功する」と思えるようになるのです。We are grateful we can offer these opportunities to our students through the Caterpillar program.
