学園祭が二日後に迫ってきました。学園自体の歴史も長くなり、20周年を迎えようとしています。
Today is two days before the 2024 School Festival. Our school has come a long way, and we are about to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
これまでの20年の歴史は、生徒に対し真摯向き合ってきた証でもあります。何もなかったところから始まり、生徒たちの要求の変化やわたしたちを取り巻く世界の変化に適応してきました。創立２０周年を迎えるにあたり、これまでの歩みや、関わってきた人生を振り返ろうと思います。
Our school’s evolution over the past two decades is a testament to our unwavering commitment to our students. From humble beginnings, we have grown and adapted to meet the changing needs of our students and the world around us. As we prepare to commemorate our 20th anniversary, we reflect on the progress we have made and the lives we have touched.
生徒たちは、学園のプログラムを通して成長していきます。世界が変化している中で、プログラムもその変化に適応できるように作られています。従来の指導方法とは違い、得た知識を実際に活かす機会もたくさんあります。
Students are engaged in learning through school programs. As the world changes, these programs are designed to adapt in a good way. Instead of traditional teaching methods, students are provided with on-site opportunities to apply the knowledge they have gained.
経験豊富なプロの指導の元で、生徒たちは他人との協働や自分の意見を発信することを教わるだけでなく、自らその力を育んでいきます。オープンな対話に慣れていないことが多いので、最初は過敏になったり躊躇したりしがちですが、サムガクのプログラムでは生徒全員がグループの一員となり、有意義なコミュニケーションをとる機会を持つことができます。そういった経験を通して、持っている能力を最大限発揮し、元々の長所と成長すべき部分を自覚することができます。このプロセスを通して、生徒たちは自己肯定感を育み、不安だった分野でも成長するために必要な決断力や、立ち直る力を養うことができます。
Under the supervision of seasoned professionals, our students are not only taught but also nurtured to voice their opinions and foster collaboration among their peers. Despite initial hesitations and a tendency towards sensitivity, stemming from their unfamiliarity with open dialogue, our school program ensures that every student is provided with opportunities to engage in group activities and meaningful interaction. Through these experiences, they come to realize the full spectrum of their abilities, acknowledging both their inherent strengths and areas for growth. This process cultivates a sense of self-assurance, empowering them with the resilience and determination needed to improve their skills and excel in areas where they may have once felt uncertain.
最近、私たちは外国から来た若者を迎え入れ、その若者も私たちに溶け込み生徒たちと積極的に交流しています。こうして生徒たちと積極的に交流している姿を見ると、本当に感動します。きっと文化的な多様性が歓迎される雰囲気が醸成されてきた証なのだと思います。自分の考えや経験を話すことで、生徒も彼らも自分の価値観を広げ、この世界に対する理解を深めることができます。こういった異文化交流によって、社会的スキルを向上させるだけでなく、共感力や自分も世界の一員だという感覚も育まれます。それが将来他人と関わりながら生きて行くための土台になります。
Recently, our community has welcomed some foreign young adults who have seamlessly integrated into our organization and are actively collaborating with our students. Witnessing the positive interaction that has occurred between our students and these international peers is truly inspiring. It is a testament to the inclusive atmosphere fostered within our school, where cultural diversity is celebrated and embraced. Through shared experiences and the exchange of ideas, both our students and their new companions are broadening their perspectives and enriching their understanding of the world. This intercultural interaction not only enhances their social skills but also promotes empathy and global citizenship, laying the groundwork for a more interconnected future.
最後に、2004年以来、私たちと一緒に歩んできてくださった全ての方々に感謝いたします。２０周年を記念した冊子も発売いたします。是非お買い求めいただき、私たちの活動をサポートしていただけたらと思います。長岡理事長は助けを必要としている若者の支援に対しとても大きな貢献をしてきました。若者自立支援をさらに拡大していくためには、より実践的で戦略的なプログラム、そして財政的な支援が必要です。
Lastly, we are grateful to everyone who has been with us since 2004. We have released a 20th-anniversary magazine. Please support us in continuing to do good by purchasing a copy. Our director Nagaoka has shown remarkable dedication to supporting young people, especially those in need. To further aid these young adults in reintegrating into society, we require more practical assistance, strategic programs, and financial support.
